From a mountaintop in nearby Cyprus, American and British cyber spies have been hacking into Israel's most closely guarded secrets for years. In a startling expose, the Intercept website has revealed a joint American-British operation 'to steal a bird's-eye-view' of Israeli drone operations. Not only that, they are also monitoring any Israeli preparations for a military strike against Iran's nuclear sites. This is how Intercept described what one Israeli has deemed as the gravest penetration of Israel's 'holiest of holies':
"American and British Intelligence secretly tapped into live video feeds from Israeli drones and fighter jets monitoring military operations in Gaza, watching for a potential strike against Iran, and keeping tabs on the drone technology Israel exports around the world."

IsraCast assesses what might soon emerge in light of Iran's ascendancy that has been bolstered by its nuclear deal with the U.S. and what is perceived as Obama's deference to Tehran in Riyadh. At home, the terror attack that killed two Israelis in the center of Tel Aviv leaves some key unanswered questions.

One of the most controversial issues of the Yom Kippur Protocols were the comments by Defense Minister Moshe Dayan that IDF soldiers, cut off in their fortified outposts along the Suez Canal, would be left to their fate. This flies in the face of the IDF's tradition of not leaving soldiers behind to be killed or captured by the enemy. In an extraordinary twist of fate, IsraCast's Avi Yaffe was doing reserve duty as a radio operator at the Porkan outpost that was surrounded by the Egyptians opposite Ismailiya. Yaffe was in radio contact with Gen. Sharon during the first days of the war including the soldiers daring trek through Egyptian lines back to safety. After the war was over, Yaffe interviewed Sharon who revealed that he could have saved the trapped soldiers in the outposts, most of whom were later captured or killed by the Egyptian forces. In light of publication of the Yom Kippur Protocols, Avi Yaffe has now decided to make public this exclusive and historic interview on his IsraCast website.

President Barack Obama has succeeded - he wanted to kick the can down the road to his successor and apparently he's done it. The last chance to block the Iranian nuclear deal is now in the hands of the US Senate where only a special 67-seat majority can override Obama's presidential veto. Although it comes as no surprise, the Vienna nuclear agreement is still mind-boggling. Seventy years after the Holocaust of six million Jews in Europe by Nazi Germany, the Jewish state of Israel could face a nuclear Holocaust if the Ayatollahs in Tehran are not stopped from acquiring A-Bombs. Yet, there is no limit to the utter disdain that is being hurled at Israel for not welcoming this flawed fiasco that will leave Iran as a threshold nuclear power in the Middle East.

Menashe Amir, an Israeli expert on Iran, says there will be no deal because Tehran is locked into its nuclear weapons project and will not give it up. Amir told IsraCast that nuclear weapons are a cornerstone for her foreign, domestic and Islamist ideologies. The international community and the Obama administration are finally waking up to the truth of this harsh reality. The Islamist regime perceives A-Bombs as vital to furthering its dominant role in both the Muslim and international arenas. In addition, it serves as an insurance policy for preserving its power at home. Once it acquires A-Bombs no foreign power will try to mess with the regime.

Hear the sounds of gunfire, the footsteps of Israeli soldiers as they draw closer and closer and as General Uzi Narkiss instructs them and asks to be shown where the Western Wall stands. Hear triumphant Brigadier, General Shlomo Goren, who was later to become the Chief Rabbi of Israel, as he recites the memorial prayer and sounds the shofar as Israeli soldiers weep with sorrow over their comrades killed in combat.

On the eve of holocaust remembrance day, IsraCast is publishing the first time a list of 110 Jewish families, some 284 victims who were murdered in Croatian controlled Vukovar during World War II. Serbian officials compiled the documented list of the Jews after Serbia took over the area after the war. The list of families is in alphabetic order and includes the victims' birth date and also their date of execution. Nearly all the Jews were murdered in 1941-1942. Avi Yaffe of IsraCast visited Vukovar shortly before it was handed back to Croatia and saw evidence that the Serbs have gathered the remains of holocaust victims from mass graves and given them a proper burial.

Heart disease is a well-known killer. Just one decade ago, the WHO (World Health Organization) released its findings showing that heart disease has become a global epidemic with approximately 17 million people dying each year from heart attack and stroke; at the time of publishing, this made up nearly one-third of deaths globally; and the WHO then prospected that this number would only rise with time. Thankfully, medical research has produced some significant advances to combat this medical threat and continues to develop innovative methods to treat and prevent heart disease. Not surprisingly, a number of these advances (and ongoing research) are coming from none other than Israel. IsraCast went to Shaare Zedek Medical Hospital to learn more.

With the eyes and ears of the world focused on the U.S. Congress, Bibi Netanyahu railed at America's impending nuclear deal with Iran - Barack Obama was not impressed. The U.S. President said there was 'nothing new' in the Israel's leader's warning:
"We don't yet have a deal. But if we are successful, this will be the best deal possible with Iran to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon... On the core issue, which is how do we prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, which would make it far more dangerous and would give it scope for even greater action in the region, the prime minister didn't offer any viable alternatives."

What do Jimmy Carter, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and BBC reporters have in common? Either they don't like, or in fact hate Israel. Look at their recent comments on the cause of the recent Muslim terror attacks in Paris:
When Jon Stewart asked Carter if religion played a role in the Paris atrocities, Carter replied:
'One of the origins for it is the Palestinian problem, and this aggravates people who are affiliated in any way with the Arab people who live in the West Bank and Gaza - what they're doing now - what's being done to them. So I think that's part of it'.

Keep your eye on the Iranian ball! Don't win the war on ISIL and lose the war to a nuclear Iran! This was the most telling message in Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu's address to the UN General Assembly in New York. Obviously Israel's leader is worried about reports the US and the rest of the 5P+1 may offer Tehran an easing of the nuclear sanctions, if the Iranians join the coalition against Islamic State. He did not pull any punches:
'The Islamic Republic (Iran) is now trying to bamboozle its way to an agreement that will remove the sanctions it still faces, and leave it with the capacity of thousands of centrifuges to enrich uranium. This would effectively cement Iran's place as a threshold nuclear power. In the future, at a time of its choosing, Iran, the world's most dangerous state in the world's most dangerous region, would obtain the world's most dangerous weapons'.

In Israel, the Galei Tzahal radio station has reported that al Sisi was willing to contribute 1,600 square kilometers of Sinai to expand Gaza five times its present size. The new territory, together with Gaza, would provide the Palestinians with a Palestinian state under control of the Palestinian Authority, which is headed by President Mahmoud Abbas. On August 6, 2005, the IsraCast website first reported on a land swap proposal for Sinai that was proposed by Prof. Yehoshua Ben Arieh. At that time, IsraCast sponsor, Avi Yaffe even raised the question at a private meeting with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who expressed interest in the idea.

Who really bears responsibility for the killing of some 2,100 Palestinians, in the fighting between Hamas and Israel that ended on August 26 (1,100 Palestinian civilians and 1,000 terrorists)? Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has actually blamed Hamas for starting the war by escalating the rocketing of the Jewish state and then rejecting numerous Egyptian ceasefire proposals that Israel accepted. Interviewed on Palestinian TV, Abbas vented his anger: 'It was possible for us to avoid all that, the 2,000 martyrs, 10,000 injured and 50,000 houses that were damaged or destroyed (by Israeli counter strikes)'. Abbas, who recently signed a unity government agreement with Hamas, also criticized Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal for starting the war without consulting him. And Abbas added that if Hamas ever did it again, they would go it alone. The Palestinian President played an influential role in persuading Hamas to accept the ceasefire after Israel refused to give in to Hamas demands.

In light of the tsunami of criticism against Israel's defense against the Hamas rocketing blitz from Gaza, IsraCast has extended the following 'apology' to US President Barack Obama. According to the Wall Street Journal, Washington has suspended the delivery of Hellfire missiles to Israel in response to 'Israel not knowing its place' in the eyes of some U.S. officials. This then, is why Israel should 'apologize' for its military operations against Gaza:
